Some more good news! With the further relaxation of the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions by HMG, the LTA has revised its guidelines for tennis players https://www.lta.org.uk/globalassets/news/2020/lta-guidance-for-tennis-players---covid-19.pdf and has confirmed that from the 1st June 2020 both singles and doubles play is permitted with people outside of your household. This means 4 people from different households can now play doubles, provided social distancing, remaining 2 metres apart, as far as possible, and strict personal hygiene measures are followed.
Group coaching for up to 6 people including the coach is now also permitted, provided social distancing, remaining 2 metres apart and strict personal hygiene measures are followed.
Please follow the latest guidance from the LTA which is available online and is also displayed in the club shelter.
The clubhouse remains closed and there are no toilet facilities at the club.

The Club finals day tournament was held on Sunday 8th September. The weather was glorious - a lovely autumn day. The menís singles was won by Danny - a new name on the trophy. This was a good match against David.
The ladies singles was won by Charanya who last won in 2015.
As last year the ladies doubles was cancelled because of injury - better luck next time.
The mens plate was won by Oliver who beat David G in a spirited game.
The mixed doubles was between Jim/Jackie v Mark/Charanya. This was a good match with Charanya hitting the ball well but low cunning won the day. A first appearance at the finals from Mark.
The mens doubles was between Paul/John who beat Joe/Oliver. This was Joe's first appearance at the tournament and his play suggests it won't be his last.
Many thanks to Richard Lonnon for organising the event and to those who provided the excellent food, the umpires and line judges.
For pictures of the day see link on the left bar.
This was won by Mike Hutchings - A great result after return from injury.

If you know of someone who would like to play we have introduced a "try before you buy" offer. Prospective players are welcome to come along to the club sessions on a Tuesday evening or Sunday morning for a month to see if you like the club and what is on offer. After that period if they still want to play they will have to join the club - there is no obligation.
